Im not from that area, but I dont see any formal schools in that town. There are two small airports, Pilot Country Airport in Brooksville and Hidden Lake Airport. You could try going there and seeing if there are any CFIs based there. You dont necessarily need to go to a large flight school, as long as you can find a good instructor. Try the links below for the airports. Looks like there is an FBO in brooksbille, but it doesnt say if they offer flight training, might be worth checking out.

If you dont have any luck, you just might have to make the drive to Tampa. Lots of students at my school drive over an hour. My drive is just over an hour, which isnt too bad as long as I actually get to fly when I get there, but I also work for my flight school too so I usually have to make the trip anyway.
