What's good for some won't necessarily be first choices for others. My recommendation would be - write your LEC rep, write the NC Chairman, and take a pro-active roll in the negotiating of this collective bargaining agreement. First though, take some time on your next trip and read the CBA you have now. Highlight what you DON'T like. Trust me, this isn't a 'Steven Ambrose' novel, so make it a long trip when you try this. But, the more you know about what controls your life now, the better prepared you'll be to make a decision on what will control your life with the next CBA.
We all have a college degree. We all have interests and talents. If you're called upon to participate - even if it's only an idea - I suggest you step up. When the Company knows our new chairman has us, the 4,500+ crew members behind him, his job becomes infinitely easier. He's got my support.
JG was on the team last time and is a BC clone. He worked at AA. I received two emails from him last CBA. I found both to be lacking in honesty and integrity. This round of discussions for our CBA is going to be a joke just like the last time. I see no reason to “rally behind” a DW stooge -- same failed ideas, different mouthpiece.
