Yes you demand it because we are worth it, have a little pride in your profession. If they say no? We are stronger and more likely to have our needs met as one voice. I'm not saying get beligerent either, obviously your union stewards will negotiate on our behalf to ensure our needs are being met. Why is it that SWA pays their pilots so well?? Do you think it has anything to do with SWAPA or would SWA pay them that well without a union? I think we know the answer.

Will the union buy more airplanes, create more routes and business? (How?) Who said the union would buy more airplanes or create more business???? Nobody. A business has to be run whether there is a union or not.

How much is it going to cost to set up the union? (2% or more) Pay your 2% for a pay increase? Thats a tough one to figure out isn't it?

How long will it take to see any results? (try 5 years) Yes it may take a few years, but I plan on being around. Try not to be the typical "gratify me now" employee. Things take time but 25 years from now when you retire it will be worth it.

Expect to pay for your uniform, laptop, water, snacks ...out of your own pocket in the future. (check with the 'other airlines')
I think I can pay a few extra bucks for a pay increase. I highly doubt you would pay for a computer, but yes I guess anything is possible. If you want to get that negative I could rattle of a million things any company could make you pay for.
