One CA tried to manage my rest period (and the FA's) re. alcohol. HIS policy (applied to all crew members) was 16 hours or therabouts (company policy = 8 hours). That's (sort of) hilarious. I had a captain try the same thing once....it was a long four day trip. He's actually sort of a nice guy, but unfortunately has developed a reputation that makes people dread flying with him. Not sure what base you are in, fortunately most people in DEN are fairly laid-back.
