Totally know what you mean. At Colgan the flight attendants have to straighten things up themselves after the last flight of the day (flip seats, clean seat pockets, take out trash and ice, dump hot jugs). Well we have a couple incompetent slooooooow FAs who literally take 30 minutes to do the whole thing. I started helping out the FAs that I like and also so that I don't have to wait 30 minutes to go home... after the last leg all you want to do is run home, you know? It's not like I'm getting paid after we block in. So anyway, I started noticing that the FA started getting slower.. and slower. Like, I'd take out the trash and ice and dump the hot jugs and mind you this is AFTER I've done my own walk-around... and she's JUST starting to clean the seat pockets. One night she actually told me after I did the walkaround, "The hot jugs have water in them." (meaning that I should dump them.) I had no problem helping them out before without ever being asked, but after she said it like it was my JOB I was so turned off. This is what happens when you help them out too much.. they EXPECT it of you. Now I tell myself that I'm not going to help that thankless youknowwhat, but every night I find myself standing around waiting for her slowa$$ to finish her job I just get so exasperated that I end up helping her do her job.
