Wow... I don't know about anyone else but I've had many (many) FAs smarter then my FO and me hands down! They have many reasons why they chose their proffesion.....
I like to see who runs up to the front desk to fill stuff out. I always let the FA decide the room first (unless male) and if FO is female then she gets to decied ... I'll take the last room left... If they don't mind filling it out for others than all good! Lives to short to sweat the small stuff... I also buy a meal at least once a month for all my crew and a night of drinks!!
I've had some great captains on my way up and bottom line is when you make Capt pass it on...!
Honestly, my comment was not intended to be cruel or mean. Quite simply, everyone has their place and a certain job to do. I always do my best to be courteous and respectful of everyone. However, when people try to get out of line and pretend to be something that they are not, then reality might need to be delivered crisply.
