I mean, c'mon....if I was looking for a shipping company, what part of that advertisement makes me go, "Hmm, that hippie loser has a point, his presentation on that whiteboard makes sense...I think I'll ship UPS now!"

I'm certainly not a marketing or advertising expert but I think a large part of marketing is just getting people's attention and getting you name out there over and over. Humor and other random methods are frequently used. Do you think FedEx's commercials (the guy who cant find some country on the map or the guy drinking/spilling an entire pot of coffee on himself) are smarter or effectively making people go to FDX ?
I may be in the minority but I kinda like the whiteboard commercials. They're not funny but its different
