They could probably get a 747 off an 7000ft strip with very little gas, but you don't see anybody punching 747s in and out of MDW. It's not feasible TD. What about aborted takeoffs, V1 cuts, and other abnormalities? It won't handle those well. Why don't you think about Comair in LEX TD? How they do? (God rest their souls. RIP) It's not feasible TD.
