You can post all the numbers you want Duck. Do they take into accout higher temps, elevations, and weights? Posting those #'s is like Toyota telling you that a certain model will get 40 mpg, and then consumers average 34 mpg. Key West is ONE place. It's not island hopping. And Comair had a runway between 3500-4000 ft with 49 people on board and they couldn't clear the trees! That's no engine problems. Another 1500 ft wont do much If this service is so feasible, why hasn't it been done yet? 50 seat RJs are on the decline at DAL, so it's less likely they would be used. And another thing. I NEVER said an RJ COULDN'T use those airfields. I said it they couldn't do it without Weight Restrictions. It's not feasible.
