On every application I've filled out, there was a section for type ratings. So you tell me, you have two applicants, everything equal, but one person has a type in the aircraft your company flies.

If you feel that your current employer is your final employer, by all means, live up that 2 weeks of your life. Otherwise, work hard and enjoy your new type rating.
