Which is WHY it's a silly rumor. Even a full EMB 135 would have a hard time getting off a 6000 ft strip with a flaps 18 takeoff. It's not feasible for the ERJs. That's why AA runs T-Props down there. The ERJs would ALWAYS be weight restricted, they practically are now.
Just did Key West in the 170. Flaps 2 and like 50 some odd people and took freight back to CLT. There are practically no weight restrictions going in or out of there on that bird.
