I have serious doubts about the predictions of VLJs blanketing the skies. I have heard so many predictions about aviation that were supposed to be earthshattering that never came to pass. I will readily admit I was wrong if it turns out that I am. I think most bizjet travelers who are entertaining VLJs are going to be suprised when they see how small they are. IMHO, the masses have dreams of 1 million dollar Citations and Lears, instead of the Barron-sized jets the VLJs infact are.

The thought of using small, underutilized airports won't work, because insurance companies will want adequate over-run, adequate approaches, and protection from wildlife. That will eliminate many fields.

I don't care if you are a computer whiz, I just don't feel the VLJ market is going to make those silly predictions.
