Back to the issue...

Generation X and Y regional FOs take the scraps because anything looks good after going 100k in debt for the training. Let's face it; it's a widely accepted scabbing; if you don't fly the banner for $12 a load, some other cat will...that schmo might even do it for free. Isn't that where it all starts? Does it start before that? Does the learned worthlessness begin during training these days?

I recently graduated from...er...escaped from the 141/university environment where every young guy was pitted against the other for the twin time that paid $15/hr with 0 benefits. I can tell you that the attitudes are taught.

"Don't mind the pay...suck it up...get your time and get out."

The low rent regional pilot isn't born...he's trained.
