The 800 does a wide variety of flying from ATL. They do a lot of long haul transcon type flights. There is a lot of Central and South America flying. They fly turns to the Caribbean which go very senior. They also do some short haul flights. They really have picked up most of the flying the 757's did 10 years ago. Trips range from 1 to 4 days long with a lot of 4 day trips. They do a significant amount of late night or back side of the clock flying which is never fun. Keep in mind that trips and flying at Delta vary a lot more then at NWA and change seasonally as well as monthly changes. When I flew the 800 I enjoyed the trips. The aircraft not so much. Cramped cockpit with a overhead panel off a B-17 merged with a state of the art glareshield and instrument panel. Very strange for a modern aircraft.
