Are voluntary long term leaves of absence (other than military) being offered at FDX??? That was used at the carrier I currently fly for, and it helped the junior guys immensely. About 32 senior captains and FO's took voluntary leaves (for three years), which allowed 32 junior FO's, who wanted to stay on property, to stay.
A win-win for the company and pilots, all the way around.
Just curious if that's being entertained by your union/management leadership?
