Without a doubt one of the worst pilots I've ever seen. And had all the smirking attitude of a guy who felt he was superior to the rest of us. I almost got into fisticuffs with him in a bar - he was making fun of me, the lowly 727 FE. He was the mighty right seater. I told him I had more time inside the marker than he had total (a good line, but I didn't invent it)....
Bottom line: ANYBODY hired for something other than real experience is a potential danger. They don't know what they don't know.
Huck,
As you're learning first hand, we have a bell curve of folks here at FedEx just like most other work environments, and as we get larger and larger we get more and more of those 2 percenters!! I always use the thought that "Hey, if that can get through upgrade, I should have no problem!" (With proper prep, of course!). Next time, just remind him you control the coffee jug and what goes into his cup!!
