Let's not use the level playing argument. Personally, I think this line of reasoning is regressive. If you want to justify the changes because of some bandwidth or other technical reason so be it. However, when somebody uses the level playing field argument, it usually means they want to pull the other person back to their level instead of rising to the level of others.

Always easier to pull down on the rope instead of climbing up.
