It's funny how people take a rumor an run with it. I know we are all dying for some dirt here with all this tension and no sign of relief. I think that if ASA were to furlough any of the unprotected pilots it WOULD come as a surprise. Seems as though every message we get from the MEC and the company they stress how they do not intend on let any guys go and that they are all about a positive pro employee company to the grave. So I don't think it would come out as a rumor because whom ever makes those kinds of furlough decsions probably wouldn't talk about it and "let the cat out of the bag" to someone that would go out and tell guys on APC.

FWIW if they were to furlough all the guys they could legally let go assuming they are all 2 year FO's or less they would save $4,102,920 annually based on worse case scenario - CR7 2nd year F.O. $37.99 X 75hr = 2849.25 X 12mon = $34,191 X 120 pilots (no benifits or per diem). Wow, when I look at that it does seem like a pretty mean number. I never really knew they could save that much. I'm not really sure where that # stands opposed to retraining when/if they ever have to recall. Kind of put's it in perspective on how much those guys on the chopping block should appreciate their jobs. Even more so than the rest of us.
