Thanks for the tips. Photography, like many hobbies, can get as deep and expensive as one would like. There really is no limit to the technical
aspects. I think the vast majority are more interested in being able to take a decent photo with minimal time and effort without trekking too deep
into the dork forest. I take most of my shots with a simple, cheap camera that can easily be carried anywhere. I don't even own a copy of photoshop.
I am just a hack, and enjoy shooting a few snapshots from time to time.
Many of the great folks who contribute here share a wonderful slice of their life with minimal gear, and I always enjoy their perspective.
I don't want to give them the idea that it takes a huge investment in time and gear to get useful results. Some of the best shots posted here have been shot with simple cameras under difficult conditions. Could they be better? Of course, but the subject matter was the important thing.
If you want to write ads for Canon, be my guest, but most of it will fall on deaf ears. If you want to stack twenty bland photos and add a unicorn, that is cool too.
