Everyone would be good to follow ACL65's lead and not get to excited about the f word or possible industry trouble. I have talked to both our management at Compass and NWA Union reps and none of them have said to worry about furlough in the near future. No one has offered early outs for the pilot group since the new cuts were announced which is a very good sign. I know things can be very dynamic in this industry but everyone needs to relax. The new larger airline is probably able to deal with economic downturns etc better than the two airlines were seperately. I still think the new Delta is an a very good postion and should do very well in the long term. I know my friends at other airlines (both regional and major) feel that me being at Compass or being at NWA/Delta is a good thing and that we are all in a good postion.
