Tony, you are correct that you aren't required to accept a sub assignment. However, if you are offered a sub assignment that meets the contractual requirements, in order to be paid, you have to fly the offered trip or become eligible for OTP. Once OTP is chosen, you are pay protected for 2 bid periods. But, in order to keep your pay, you have to fly those hours at some point if you turned down the initial trip offered.

So, flying a sub trip means you are flying 100% of your BLG. Nothing more, nothing less.
