Pay is only one part of the equation. However it's awfully hard for any pilot group to get more when there are those willing to work for less. Skywest used to pay $19 an hour first year but because of their "soft pay" (duty/trip rigs) they paid better than just about everybody.
Funk, show me one flow through agreement that's worked for a regional group. How many have gone from Compass to Northwest or Delta? What happens when mainline furloughs and those mainline guys take your seat?
Only a few of the 150 furloughed from TSA have taken advantage of that preferential hiring. Most waterskiers are smart enough to see that working for Hulas, regardless of company is a good idea let alone working for the operation which is the reason they're on the street in the first place.
