I'm in the "10" and won't have any airplane to fly in a few months. We are missing the elephant in the room. Some of the senior ten guys still flying and excessed the last time around have training dates in the late fall. I would bet money that the 10 BLGs are all going to be 48 hrs so the guys not flying for those months have no options. Th seniors guys were all boasting about getting 6 months to year off with pay, guess not now. Why wouldn't the company do this. There is absolutely no downside for the company. They reduce it, call it "avoiding a furlough" and save money in the same breath without any downside. As a matter fact, only an upside Looking back, "bid to relive the excess" versus being "excessed" makes a lot of sense based on how the training works. Kinda of funny that almost the exact same month the 10 is going away, this happens. Things that make you go hmmmmmm.
