In the December 29 issue of Business Week there are several examples of very wealthy individuals who have lost huge amounts of money. One of those profiled is David Bonderman.
In 2008 he put $1.35 into Washington Mutual. Later, federal regulators seized the bank and sold it to JPMorgan Chase. His stake was then worthless. Ouch!!!
I wish no one ill. Not even seemingly amoral people such as Lorenzo, Wolf and Seigel. But I also believe in reaping what one sows and can't work up too much sympathy for them.
