Paul (pablo) is not a friend of mine but I know him and like him. I respect him on several levels. ( I state this so you may judge the credibility of my remarks.). He is intelligent. He is professional. He is honest and friendly.

Each of these threads take on an ethic of their own, but consider all of the complaints with MEC members throughout these pages. Paul apparently reads these pages and posted. You have his ear and honest answer. Compare that to your other complaints.

Paul is not a union rep who went into mgt like is often complained about, but a manager who got I involved in the union. I believe Paul helped negotiate for the company on the training section. He has experience.

Paul is probably the guy all of you would want in the training dept of the aircraft you were on.

The thought if the few on here is that Paul has damaged the ability of the union to get the pay we want because he bid the aircraft. Well, I don't like the bait and switch from the 380 either, but I don't buy that particular argument. The actual problem is with a negotiating team that did not dot the I's and cross the T's. Just because BC is no longer NC chairman doesn't mean we need to find anyone new to blame. Face it, we voted in a contract that was specific about the companies' needs for the 757 but didn't watch ours on the ULR language. There does appear to be some leverage with regards to the Ulr rules, as indicated by JG and there may be some money there. ( I wonder if you all think that if in retrospect Paul's verbal committment to KW has hurt that negotiation)

Paul didn't screw anyone. What percent of the crewforce
Bid the aircraft? It wasn't just the 250 on the bid. What about some of the other folks on there? Didn't SM bid it? I would guess that we have to believe that he is no longer someone who has our backs.

I have hammered on DW as much as anyone here. I think multiple poor choices gets you the door. But asking a block rep to quit and treating him as a traitor because he bid an aircraft in accordance with the contract is pretty heavy handed. We want good guys as reps. If we keep cutting their heads off, we won't get any.
