I guess I don't understand where we have the audacity to demand that guys in flight management "better be feeling the pain like we are." These guys took those jobs for any number of reasons, and what they're getting paid, or how much of a pay raise or pay cut they took, or will take, is frankly, none of our business. If you want to work in flight management, apply. If you're like I was, someone who just wanted to fly the line and then enjoy my time off, then be thankful that someone is doing the job. The fact that that person is also a union member, in my mind, is a plus.

I'm sure that some of the guys in these management positions are there for themselves, but I'm equally sure that the majority of them are there for the betterment of the crew force, which translates to each and every one of us.

As for why these guys do it, well, why not ask them individually, but is it really fair to chastise these guys for doing what they think is right?
