Instead of pointing fingers at regional pilots you should examine yourselves to see where it went wrong. Major airline management will continue to whittle down domestic mainline jobs and farm them off to the regionals unless major airline pilots and their union reps fight to keep them at the majors.
Spot on.

Or maybe we could force SKYW to take flowbacks along with Compass and Mesaba. I'm sure their union would go for it if we allowed them to flow-up when hiring continues.

RockyBoy, there are some major differences between Compass, Mesaba and SKW. The first is that Compass and Mesaba are wholly owned (Comair as well) and SKW is independent. The second is that our MEC………………….errrrrrrr SAPA reps (we’re non-union much to my dismay) don’t care about flow through seeing that the majority of our airline pilots are SKW lifers. They would never agree to it and if it actually made it to the pilots to vote on it would fail much like our ALPA campaign. This is just the facts; we did participate in the J4J back in the day but no flow.
I personally don't care for a flow policy. I feel my chances, as well as others, are just as solid without it. I can see the benefit but it comes with way to many pitfalls and loopholes.
