Does that mean anyone should treat you with nay less respect?, absolutely not but gate agents and F/A's have to feel better then someone.
It was common when folks wanted to rid the US of slavery, the dirt poor white folks didnt want to abolish it, even though they couldn't afford slaves, they felt that as long as there were "slaves" they were at least better then someone. Sad but true, and even sadder that some "mainline folks" act this way, but it is hardly ever a pilot, so that should make ya feel better
