That's what ? $386.25 per month.

Would you fly the shiny CRJ for this wage?

Of course that wouldn't happen, this is an extreme hypothetical.

But you get the point?

There comes a point where it just won't be worth it to fly with the wage that management is offering. That's why people have the 'burn the place down' attitude.

Oh if this were to happen trust me. People would quit in droves. You see everyone has the right to quit anytime they like. The problem with a strike is people have the nerve to demand their job back if they get what they want. Going on strike is having no spine. No someone with true courage quits with the real risk that they may not get their job back. If the 2nd year wage was dropped to $21/hour with 75 hour guarantee I would simply quit. If the company survives then enough people wanted to work under those terms. You see I don't think its right to throw a tantrum, take the whole company down along with all the other employees that MAY STILL WANT TO WORK UNDER THOSE TERMS. If enough people walk not only will they raise the salary again they will probably be asking those who quit to come back. The right to strike seriously needs to be eliminated from the law books ASAP. Arbitration now. BTW if people don't agree with the arbitratiors decision they can also quit. If enough quit a new deal will have to be made.
