Incorrect again

How do you make this statement after the last one you did? Either they are, or they aren't.

Really, so you are saying the APA never ever offered to fly the CRJ and EMB then right? Perhaps when you are off probation you can go find a few people who have been there a bit longer and ask for some AMR/AA/AE history lesson. Point of fact for your edification... APA did offer to fly the planes, AMR didn't like their rates.

No, they gave up pieces of scope in order to try and preserve as much as they could at the time. If they were in the same position again, knowing what they know now - they wouldn't do it.

Wow, where to start...
AA will not shut Eagle down. That would be like the Washington DC metro shutting down all bus service but keeping the trains running... the trains need the busses, just as much as the busses need the trains... could it be subcontracted for outside companies to provide bus service - sure - but what would be the point... it would be more expensive, provide less service, and sacrifice control.

Big Sky closed shop months ago

[quote=MAXforwardspeed;532916]The other options are a divestiture or a shutdown at the end of our contract.

AMR has not earned the name sky nazzi's for nothing my young friend. They are control freaks. Do a little research into what lengths they went to to keep the federal government from being able to examine their ledgers - offshore ledgers. Why would you divest something that you have full control of, makes money, and provides a vital service to your other corporation? Stop drinking the koolaid.

What's a logbook?

Most regionals only have a 15-20 year step system... you would be suprised how many other regionals also have senior pilots... the days of doing a few years at a regional then going to a major all but ended long ago. Do many still make it that way, yes... but not most. It used to be most; but since regionals have now grown in size to the point that we have mainline companies furloughing just about all of the pilot staff and subcontracting to an E170-175 operator there will be even less mainline jobs.

as for them being as you say "senile".... you'll have to explain that since they are all passing their medicals, line and six month checks. You will have to forgive the majority who didn't come to a part 121 jet airline with 500 hours total time if they do not feel any sympathy for you when you are upset that they are somehow in your seat.

What scientific study was that? or are you just based at one of the senior bases....

Fly safe
Mason,

That was excellent post. Spot on!

P.S. To the other poster that said morale sucks on the cockpit of AA jets and we have not fun, you obviously have not been up front on a 767 going to Europe....

P.S.S To the other Eagle pilot wanting to tell an AA pilot to Screw himself.. I will say it first. "Screw You!""
