I am good friends with our (SkyWest) main recruiter. I will keep his/her name anonymous, but he/she said that they want 70 total pilots per month through March. They are looking for 30 EMB and 40 CRJ. Right know is the perfect time to get on with SW. I was hired in April and I already have 300 pilots behind me and the number should reach 700+ by March. The hiring spell is due to three things: a) Attrition, 10-20 pilot per month are moving on, most are going to FedEx, UPS, and Southwest. b) Expansion, the company is growing like mad right now. c) They didn't hire from Dec through April.
