ASA to get additional 200's
I'm still somewhat confused but here is a memo from the MEC
"In the wake of ASA’s recent announcement furloughing 80 of our pilots, our Director of Flight Operations has now said the company will take delivery of two additional, “used” CRJ-200s from Comair. This despite a significant reduction in block hour flying, a planned phase-out of 20 CRJ-200 airplanes by the end of 2010 and low CRJ-200 aircraft utilization – 6.5 hours per day compared to a normal daily utilization of 9-10 hours. We’re being told the two additional hulls will be maintenance spares and are needed to make up a shortfall in spare aircraft."
