I had FO's at XJT and it was there last flight at XJT to go to CAL. This was more than once. I know alot of FO's that didn't have any PIC turbine go to CAL. That does not happen at DAL, SW, UPS, FEDEX. They were good pilots and great guys but didn't have the experience that other guys had going into the majors. So no I wouldn't put them up new hires at CAL up against these other choices I stated. And all that about it was there first choice, it was b/c the couldn't apply anywhere else or they live in IAH, EWR area, CLE. But hey still a good airline.
At some point having thousands of hours doesn't mean a thing except that maybe you were bored longer than others.

Part 121 time is all good whether your bored in the left seat or right seat. HR may view this differrently but I disagree. I still believe CAL attracts quality people with or without that overrated number.
