I still have a hard time understanding how Trans States has benefitted very much by this when they are paying their gojet pilots more than they are their TSA pilots (I know Gojet flys 70 seaters and TSA doesnt, but there are operators who pay the same to both).
Thanks for the input though, guys... I understand your argument a LITTLE better now.
The fact is that gojet get's paid a few dollars more, as in exactly a few dollars more than TSA guys to justify the extra 16 seats. GJ flys 66 seats. However as far as the company, it's still a sweatshop operation. To say that Gojet guys are getting paid better because they make 2 dollars more is just stupid. What about rigs, days off, language and other contract policies? They don't exist. From 05 untill late last year they were hiring guys with 200 hours, and they are a JET operator, that says something about the company and it's state in the regional industry. Don't confuse the fact that they are getting applicants with them being a good company, they are the only place hiring. And most applicants are pt135 guys with thousands of hours who have no idea what unions mean and could care less about the regional issues. Most will get their jet time and go right back to the private jets.
