Thank you guys for the replies. I am totally sure that I want to fly in the US for some reasons. First of all I really love the USA and I feel home there, not in Europe. My mom used to live there until four years ago so I was there often and I know what I am saying. Europe is nice and has its advantages but like I said before, I feel home in the US and I feel more like an American than like a German. Second thing is that I find the airline industry more interesting in America. We have Lufthansa here which is a great place to work (I know some people who do so) but I want to fly and live in the States.

I would like to get my degree in some business/management/economics kind of thing. Do you guys have any idea where I could go to get my degree? I'm quite good in school (1s and 2s German system - A and B in the US) so I might have pretty good chances to chose a place, wouldn't I? Could I somehow combine the degree with doing my ratings? How long would it take me to get all ratings and a masters degree? I am willing to work VERY hard. I'll do anything I can to get up there...

Thanks again for the replies

Jakob
PS: I usually get along woth people pretty well so that shouldn't be a problem. I always had lots of friends, just not in aviation.
