1) I think it has been said before that the RLA forbids unions from advocating "not working" in any form. I don't know that for fact, but it would make sense.

2) Are you saying that SWA pilots should not be picking up open time, so as to bring the guys out of the pool quicker? With this economy, and if there's no one on furlough (which there isn't), that idea would be a tough sell to most pilots.
