We did not get rid of ALPA because of the arbiters ruling and it's not about screwing the west pilots...it was just the final straw and we weren't gonna be screwed by Dictator Prator and ALPA anymore. You guys still in ALPA DO need to understand that the folks flying the small planes DO out number the mainline pilots. Last time I looked the majority does rule.
I doubt that regional pilots will gain any kind of exclusive control of ALPA as long as dues are based on earnings. Regional pilots may outnumber mainliners, but they earn less and pay lower dues.
You say you got rid of ALPA to avoid being screwed, not to screw the west pilots. It's all in whose ox gets gored. How many west pilots agree with USAPA? How come people always argue vehemently that the most "fair" seniority system just happens to be the one the puts them highest on the list?
