There was a time not that long ago when many of the guys/gals at this company were flying beat up twins in the middle of the night five days a week and instructing in the day. They had to get 3000-4000 hours just for the opportunity to interview at Pinnacle. Things are starting to lean back in that direction and the only folks that will be successful in this business are the ones that are willing to do whatever it takes in the good times and bad times.

It's fine to inquire and keep yourself updated on the news at Pinnacle; however, if you aren't already then you need to be actively pursuing other opportunities. If that means you have to invest more in your career then so be it. If that means you have to take a job that isn't exactly what you want then so be it. The fast lane is closed.
Thanks Noseeums for the valuable advice. But i hope it wasn't in response to me asking as simple a question as "and your source is"? I am in the pool yes, and thats why when someone posts regarding it I like to keep myself updated like you said as to whats going on. And since someone mentioned it being flushed, just wanted to see if it was simply one of those rumors or an actual word from management.

I do appreciate your thoughts but I do need to correct a couple of things here. First off, I don't have my eggs in one basket. I am actively pursuing my dream to fly for the airlines, and have some things lined up as well. But that doesn't mean my interest in 9E has disappeared. You can say there are still some opportunities out there. And your assumption about me coming from a bridge program... all i can say is that I would love to know where and how you came up with that assumption.. since it isn't true.

I know how badly the industry has been hit and those days where regionals were hiring everyone, practically right as they got their commercial multi, are gone and wont be seen possibly ever or atleast not for a longgg time. So instructing is the way to go and thats how I am keeping myself marketable. Just continuing to pile up those hours.

I see I have possibly created an image here for myself.. that I am ONLY depending on Pinnacle. Thats NOT the case and I guess everyone believes I'm the only one anxiously waiting for a new hire class. Well I imagine that everyone in the pool is hoping for the new hire classes and I think thats very natural for anyone, but maybe they don't post here enough or as much as I do. It would be a good thing of course for everyone because that means possible growth at Pinnacle and obviously helping the people who have already been there for sometime to get off reserve and start holding a line.

But quite honestly, hoping is one thing and knowing is another. I only hope for new hire classes soon like most others, but practically know its not going to happen anytime soon, maybe not all of 2009 or even 2010. I sure hope I'm wrong but Yes I have prepared myself for the worst nonetheless. IF anything positive happens... GREAT! if not, i wont be disappointed! Anyway, I hope I was able to clear up why I am here on these forums and follow them regularly. I guess its just a means of staying afloat with things and has nothing to do with me getting on to fly for Pinnacle anytime soon.
