Hope all those considering the move to anc understand the expense of living here.
Housing ...$$$ good for selling, not so much for buying
GAS....70 cents more than US average
Car Insurance...Double the cost over Lower 48
Property Tax...I know there's PFD but it may not be so good in the future
FOOD...Milk is crazy expensive
Most everything else just cost more by 20%
Just got my heating bill today...$580.00, add that to the $340 for electric and you can say it's expensive up here. Not to mention the $8,000.00 property tax bill.
