There are lots of hostels around temple bar. Stayed at a nice one with a friend just across the river from the bars. About a 5 minute walk and 10 minute stumble. Hostels.com is a great place to use to find a place.

I believe the hotel United owns in Honolulu is available to UAX crews. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of it, but maybe you can find it on these forums. A couple UA FAs owned my old crashpad in Denver and they said if you go there it is not really that expensive for a room short walk to the beach and cheap drinks.
