I've had plenty of FA's on the jumpseat in the cockpit over my time with the airlines. Mostly on ferry flights or empty charter repos.

The talking really isn't an issue and you can do a lot to show them the intricacies of your job and how they can help in a big picture sort of way during normal operations.
