Not only that, but you'd have people waiting to get to Compass for a year in some cases. They wouldn't be able to train 340 pilots and dump 'em into IOE 90 days after the furlough. They'd either have to wait at Delta or wait at Compass or wait and be unemployed or something but in either of the three cases it's not instantaneous.
It would not be an issue if the E-175 fleet was incorporated into the mainline fleet. Even if their current payrates remained, it is a step in the right direction. Having them there with bad pay rates is still better than not having them there at all. Later on things can be negotiated.
