The typical problem is getting everyone on board. While we all seem to want the same things (better pay, better work rules, better benefits and compensation) many individuals who'll talk to the talk, aren't willing to walk the walk. If the unity of all the pilots was truly a union, we wouldn't worry about such things, someone mention "we'll all drop our pens at noon." and suddenly, everyone does. If one guy doesn't no biggie....but if no one has the balls to be the first to drop the pen, no one else follows suit.
well my personal goal this year has become to use more fuel then I could buy with my Pay.
Also outstation maintenance is extremely expensive i.e 2 loose screws in BHM cost $450 to tighten
