Why? There are many reserves only flying ~15 hours/month. Made no sense.
Fast forward a few days, and they announce fleet reductions/pending furloughs.
It all makes sense now.
What's the new occurence policy like at PDT? Is it similar to PSA's? (At PSA, they devised the "Dependability Program." Basically, if you accumulate more than 6 occurences in a rolling one year window, you're fired. That includes absenses due to illness (i.e. sick calls), no shows, etc. Just have to hope you don't get sick too often, or if you're sickly, better hope you qualify for FMLA (FMLA absences don't count toward the 6 occurences).
Just wondering if management at PDT is taking a page out of PSA's play book.
