Graduate of The Ohio State University, and ditto what everyone else said about the college experience at the "crown jewel of NCAA". High Street on game day and just about every Fri & Sat nite is like going fishing with dynamite, tons of hot coeds who like to party.
Can't speak to the school of aviation first hand, but had a few friends go thru the program. The results are as varied as the people. Some are flying big iron for the man, and some are flying the unemployment line.
I'd honestly recommend working on a MBA or other Masters program (journalism, poli sci, computer something or another, whatever) and joining AF ROTC. Know a few guys who went that route and now fly for Uncle Sam either in Guard or Active Duty. I chose the AD route and its been great thus far.
On the flying side of things, consider carefully...DAB is a lot different than OSU wx wise, but the planes still fly. If you're used to severe clear then maybe the miserable ovc cigs at 1000 will be a problem for your transition.
Cheers
