I am not a MESA lover but here are the FACTS. Delta wanted to Cut Mesa Using the Performance issue per the contract, the powers that Be Knew that someone would need to take up that lift so they told Comair to be ready for it Comair went into a Hiring frenzy, My thinking is you were one of the 300 that got hired during that Hiring frenzy, note some of the flying was also given to Chitaqua sp. and I think Skywest, those contracs are BINDING and Delta Had a Choice when the Judge granted the injunction, either have Mesa continue to fly or have someone else fly the lift and STILL have to Pay MESA well I am no business Major but the Red Headed Step Child was the one who took the Fall in the Delta DCI musical chairs everyone seems to have it out for Mesa, Why not be Mad at Chitaqua do you know how much flying was given to Chitaqua out of CVG right after Comair Pilots was forced by Judge Adlai S. Hardin, Jr to take a pay cut. How long have you been on property at Comair, Point is Being Owned by Delta comes with strings attached Comair is the Check Valve for Delta in this DCI Game. Like it or not we are all Pawns a few years ago a Check Airman said the Worst thing that ever happen to Comair was when Delta Bought them, I see his point today. You Need to Vent your fustration on Delta but then again you cant really bite the hand that feed you.
You better hope that Mesa Wins this Case cause if Delta Does it will Set very BAD Precedence and NONE of US in this Regional Game will be Safe. Not Comair Not RAH not Skywest no one. As much as I Hate JOs business practice I dont want Delta or any other Major Carrier to have that much Power.
