To answer the question about fed ex, you are correct, however the 757 has a much more significant payload capability than the 727 as well, thus the purpose of the statement still stands, thank you for the correction on the a/c. As far as the Delta stance from the previous person, you get paid the same to fly a A330 ( pax capability is @200) and a B767/400 ( pax capability is @ 240) a difference of about 50 pax, the CRJ 200 - 50 pax, CRJ 700 - 75 px, CRJ 900 between 85- 95 depending, less than a 50 PAX difference, not too much more than the 700 currently being flown. I understand I may sound a little bitter, and I am sorry, I have been on furlough since start of July, and the PSA management has done more for me than my own pilot union, and thats not saying much.
