Joseph,

Currently we have company jumpseats to MEM from CLE and back most days. I'm not sure about another carrier.

The number of days added for commuting is directly related to your senority. If you are senior enough to hold a line with a deadhead, usually no extra days are required. If you have to sit reserve (i.e. junior) you need to be in position with time to get rest prior to your reserve period starting.

Gaining seniority makes life easier and can only be acheived by getting here, company growth, staying in a seat long enough to gain some seniority. If you chase the $$, you will be junior for a while and QOL will suffer.

It also depends where you're commuting to and from. If you move from CLE, where and how close to a city served by FEDEX and to which domicile(ANC, MEM, ?) will affect your commute.

Hope it helps.
