It is not much, but atleast it was a show of consideration on the side of management. As far as me being selfish and not caring about work rules and whatever. Read my posts, I pointed out that at other airlines (Delta, and FedEx) you would get paid the same for similar a/c eventhough the 2 are very diffrent in payload or seating capabilities. Same can be said for the minor differences between the 700 and the 900.
Here is why managment is at fault. Not ALPA.
They hired 70+ people to replace those that were taking jobs at mainline. Because PSA Management didn't have the forsight to train pilot earlier they held 70+ Captains at PSA and wouldn't let them go to mainline, till the new hires were hired and trained. When all that happened mainline didn't want those 70+ pilots and so they stayed at PSA. Now PSA had too many pilots so had to furlough the new hires.
It is good for the pilots that didn't get to go to mainline because they would be on the street today. So in a sense PSA managment in their evil doing saved peoples jobs.
What ended up being a financial disaster is that they ended up training 70+ pilots then furloughing them. Now they will have to retrain them when they come back. And because of the poor management at PSA we now have no movement and people like yourself on the street.
Oh of course T.K. knew all of this and he held the pilots at PSA because he knew they were going to get furloughed if they went to mainline. That's crap. PSA is reactive not proactive when it comes to staffing the airline. They don't know one week in advance of what is happening.
I am sorry you are on the street but it is managements bad doing that created this mess in the first place. If they did their jobs better you would have a job. Leave ALPA out of this.
