I was paired for 2 months with Marvin in IAH. Saying he was a great guy is such an understatement. His quick wit and charm is what I will remember most from Marvin. As a pilot, and Captain, I can attest to his professionalism and high regard for safety. Marvin was the type of guy who would always brief what we would do in the event of an emergency, no matter how many legs you have flown together. I used to joke him about "another 5 minute departure briefing."

Marvin had two children and loved them like we could all hoped to be loved by our father's. I know he had an especially close relationship to his son.

I just got to my room for an overnight and want to sit and sulk but in honnor of Marvin and the crew Im going to have a drink for them.
